Bee Nest Removal

£350 + VAT (per flue) plus additional time if required

Once the bees are no longer present, we can remove the remaining honeycomb, wax, honey and debris from your chimney and sweep the flue.

This includes up to one hour to remove the bee nest material and sweep the chimney.

If the removal takes longer than one hour, additional time is charged at £40 + VAT per 15 minutes.

BEE NEST REMOVAL FROM CHIMNEYS

If bees have been living in your chimney, removing them doesn’t remove what they’ve left behind.

Honeycomb, wax, honey and other material can remain inside the flue, restricting or blocking it.

Once the bees are no longer present, we can remove the remaining nest material, clear the blockage and sweep the chimney.

Please note: We don’t remove live bees. Before booking with us, you’ll need to arrange for the bees to be removed and ask the person carrying out the removal when they expect the bees to be completely gone. We can attend once there are no longer bees in the chimney.

BEFORE WE ATTEND

The bees must no longer be present in the chimney before we can carry out the removal.

If you’re arranging for someone to remove the bees, ask them how long it will take for the bees to be completely gone and be guided by their advice before arranging our visit.

We wouldn’t advise lighting a fire to try to clear the nest material. Honeycomb, wax and honey need to be physically removed from the flue before the chimney is swept.

WHAT'S INCLUDED?

Our bee nest removal service includes:

  • Removal of honeycomb, wax, honey and other nest material

  • Clearing the material so that it is no longer blocking the flue

  • Sweeping the chimney once the nest material has been removed

  • Advice on anything else we identify while carrying out the work

The work is carried out using specialist chimney-sweeping and removal equipment.

CAN ALL OF THE HONEY AND WAX BE REMOVED?

We can remove the nest material so that it is no longer blocking the flue, but it isn’t possible to remove every trace of honey and wax.

Honey and wax are sticky, so some residue will inevitably remain attached to the sides of the chimney where it cannot be removed using chimney-cleaning equipment.

We will remove as much of the material as possible, clear the blockage and sweep the chimney.
