Excellent service on the wood burner. Clean and tidy sweep. We now have a more efficient fire thanks to the clean and service. James came just when he told us he would, having rung a little while before, and brought all his equipment across the road without complaint as we have no space for parking. He was reassuring about the state of the stove and of the soot which he described as nice and fluffy. We collect wood from various sources and season it ourselves with care so we were glad to have this information.

The guy arrived on time as agreed previously and put a lot of effort into sweeping my chimney with a rotary (?) brush. He hoovered the whole area after the sweep and left the area cleaner than when he started. Highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic service year after year. I've been with Ablewrights for a many years and couldn't recommend them more highly. I'm not surprised they have won awards year after year; they really are top... James is always prompt, professional, friendly and does a great job with absolutely no fuss or mess. He gives great honest advice when asked. This really is a great family company. At first I thought they were a franchise, because of the very professional web site and on line presence, but no they are a genuine small local family company that do a great job. Please support them with your custom as I really don't want them to go out of business. I get the impression they find it hard to grow as a company because whenever they train new sweeps they end up setting on their own... They were really kind over COVID times offering help to those that needed it... Every year when James arrives to sweep our chimney it feels like an old friend visiting...

We have always used Ablewight as they provide an efficient, clean, friendly and professional service. They attend on time and leave the room spotless. We will use them again.
James taught us a lot about chimneys and although we only have gas fires and open chimneys and don't burn solid fuel he was able to remove a lot of debris from 3 of the 4 chimneys and advised us on the 4th. There was no mess at all and James was very pleasant and helpful, tested the flow of air through the flues and pointed out the value of having carbon monoxide meters in each room with a gas fire and was able to supply those at the time of his visit.

A thoroughly professional job. The chimney sweep was quick, clean and efficient and a very nice person. He carried out a smoke test, which we weren't expecting, and we passed - if we hadn't, the chimney would have had to have been relined before we could have any more fires.Something worth considering when you decide to have your chimney swept.

Booked a CCTV inspection but was told we didn’t need it so that was very considerate and saved us the cost. James was very professional and respectful of our house. He kept me informed about what he was doing and why. His friendly manner was exceptional and he made me smile saying I should make a wish when the brush came out the chimney!! Which I did!!
